Pedri made his Barcelona debut in the friendly this Saturday against Nastic Tarragona. The youngster from the Canary Islands still does not know where he will play this season, so Bayern Munich are keeping an eye on him.
Pedri was one of the standout footballers in Barca’s first game under Koeman. The man from the Canary Islands who has recently moved from Las Palmas, played very well, but has yet to earn himself a place in the first team squad.
‘Marca’ says that, due to the fact he does not have a shirt number for the first team and with just less than a month for the end of the transfer window, Bayern are keeping an eye on his future.
On two occasions the European champions asked Barca about Pedri. The Bavarian outfit want him on loan.
But Barcelona, at the moment, have rejected Bayern Munich’s advances. Koeman does not know whether he will keep Pedri in the first team squad or whether he will loan him out again as he did when he left Las Palmas.
“Pedri is a great talent, he’s 17 and is an important signing for the future. He’s training with us and has quality to play. We’ll see how much he can participate.” Koeman said after the clash with Nastic.
