The former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Obadiah Mailafia, has been released by the Department of State Security Service (DSS).
According to a report by The National, Obadiah Mailafia was released on Monday, September 14, after he was made to go through a drilling thorough interrogation at the DSS office in Jos.
The embattled deputy governor was invited for interrogation three times and was freed on Monday afternoon and in a statement he read after his release, Obadiah commended the DSS for demonstrating professionalism in the highest form while undertaking their duties on the case.
According to him, he was not abused or assaulted in anyway and has assured his supporters he is not going to be invited again.

“Muslims and Christian youths have taken and accepted me as their voice, so, l am the voice of the holy martyrs, so if l parish, l parish. God help Nigeria,” he said.
